Engagement: Elizabeth + Jerrad | Storm King Art Center, Hudson Valley, New York

Love love love Liz and Jerrad!  They are awesome and this engagement session only puts my wedding excitement at about 110%.  We had a great afternoon at Storm King (I hadn't been there since I was a kid and I forgot just how amazing it is.  If you have a free afternoon, check it out (and they have free bikes!).  There are way too many favorites to include them all here, but here are the best of the best :).  Have a great day everyone!

Engagement: Kate + Erik | Saugerties Lighthouse, Hudson Valley, New York

Do you guys have that list?  That list of all the places you mean to go to and check out locally, but instead, on your days off, you either are 1) on vacation, 2) cleaning/shopping/family events, or 3) vegetating - and the cool local stuff gets pushed to the back of the list, right?  Maybe its just me, but I've really been trying to explore my local area - the Hudson Valley and CT have TONS of cool spots and we have been making a real effort to vacation locally for a change.  Anyway, I have Kate to thank for getting me to the Saugerties Lighthouse, which has been on my list forever!  And, it is just as adorable and cool as I thought (except, I also found out that the lighthouse is also a B&B, how neat is that?!).  I also got to go back to my roots and trek through the wetland to get to the lighthouse (that would be me that wants to take photos in the golden hour portion of the day, when the tide was a bit higher...); Kate and Erik were great and I cannot wait for their wedding in a few weeks!!

Engagement: Traci + Sean | Bear Mountain State Park, Hudson Valley, New York

We are just so lucky to get such fun couples - people that we would want to hang out with normally, just as friends, somehow find their way to us for their wedding photography and it just couldn't work out better!  Traci and Sean are a great example - they are fun, funny, easy-going, and have an pretty sweet dog too (although, I'm not sure how happy he was with me, I made him walk a lot...).  I'm happy to post some of their engagement photos today (shot at Bear Mountain State Park) and psyched to be shooting their wedding next week at Round Hill!  See you soon guys!

Engagement: Meghan + Joe | Clermont State Historic Site, Hudson Valley, NY

This is such a gorgeous location for engagement photos - Tim and I looked here for our wedding originally, but it was a little further than our guests could travel so it got nixed, but I was so excited when Meghan and Joe wanted to do their engagement photos there!  It was quiet and beautiful, along the river and just perfect.  I had a great time hanging out with them and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding at the Emerson this fall!

Engagement: Jen + Sal | Bear Mountain State Park, New York

Hey everyone! Hot couple of days, huh? My clients have been total troupers in this heat, and I'm hoping for some relief in the next few days!! I met up with Jen & Sal before we had the heat wave and we trekked around Bear Mountain (always a good spot!). These guys are relaxed and so comfortable with each other. I love these shots and I'm pumped to shoot their wedding next year!
