Wedding: Emily & Erik

It was so great to hang with Emily & Erik on their wedding day! We didn't get an opportunity to do an engagement session, so this was our first real time spent with these guys. All I can say is (as usual), we have the best clients! The day ran smoothly, everyone was so friendly, and even the weather cooperated. The wedding was held at the Round Hill House and it was awesome to have time to explore all the great photo locations on the grounds (my favorite thing to do, of course!).

Just as a side note, I always try to get couples to build extra time into their schedule (which is not always possible), but, if possible, it really is so much less stressful and more efficient not to try and cram all of the portraits into 15 minutes :). More time results in gorgeous, relaxed shots and a nice, private few moments for the bride and groom. Having a good idea of how long your family portraits will take (which I can happily help with!) and letting the people know beforehand to be available for the photos also helps to create a realistic schedule.

Ok, enough talking! Emily & Erik - thank you so much for having us as part of your day! We hope you had a blast on your honeymoon - Enjoy your images!

I loved Emily's dress - it had so many layers of different fabrics and was totally unique.
