I'm going to start this post with a warning...there is portrait overload below because I just couldn't narrow it down any further. Josh and Tina are an awesome couple - they are smart, funny, and obviously love each other :). Tim and I had a blast shooting their wedding and meeting all their friends and family.
To all brides out there - rain on your wedding day doesn't have to mean disaster! Tina & Josh chose one of the most beautiful ceremony locations in the area - Mills Mansion. Tim and I were almost married here - it is gorgeous, especially in the fall. But, if it rains, the logistics can get a bit complicated...these guys had to grab a tent two days before the wedding! And honestly, its a good thing they did because it poured during their ceremony - you could hear the water just rushing down the sides of the tent. It ended up being pretty funny (Tim and I had to use umbrellas and run around the sides of the tent to grab shots :), but the ceremony was just as touching and special as it would have been if it were sunny. After the ceremony, the rain stopped and we were able to spend a ton of time shooting portraits around the property, some of which are definitely on my favorites list for the year (remember to pick up a pair of cute rain boots!).
Time to stop talking and get to the images - Tina & Josh, thank you so much for having Tim and I as part of your day. Enjoy your sneak peek!
Love the space at the Gardener's House for getting ready...

I love how you can see the rain in these shots!
Tina & Josh chose not to have a bridal party, so after a few family portraits, we headed out to scout some fun locations for their session...first up, the "beach"
Doesn't Tina look gorgeous here?
One of my favorite shots of the year
After checking out some open areas with amazing leaves, we headed up to the Mansion to finish up.
The reception was held at the Terrapin Catering Facility, which overlooks the golf course and Mills Mansion property.
Josh and Tina's dad (with some extra help from Josh's dad too!) built a custom photo booth for the reception - it was a total hit. Tim and I even gave it a shot!

These are really lovely. I think my favorite is the first one, with the bride in jeans and the veil.
ReplyDeleteWow... I can't even begin to pick a favorite... and my son and daughter-in-law know how dangerous that can be! Thank you!!!!]

Gotta love the one with Josh kicking up his heels, but they are all wonderful. It's not easy to do justice to such a wonderful couple, but these photos manage it.

A beautiful couple. At first glance I couldn't tell if it was Nick or Josh. Tina is just glowing and so lovely. I feel joy just looking at the photos.
ReplyDeleteTina and Josh, your wedding was as unique and memorable as you are-- a highlight of our year. The photos really capture the spirit of the day.
