Engagement: Adrienne + Ian | Mattapoisett, Massachusetts

I don't get to do destination type engagement sessions all that often because of my crazy wedding schedule, but when I do, I hope it is always in Mattapoisett.  And always with Adrienne and Ian. I had a perfectly perfect New England style afternoon with these guys and narrowing down the images to just a few was practically impossible.  Adrienne and Ian are my new favorites (they even sent me home with pastries for my kids - how nice is that?!) and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard this summer!

Wedding: Brooke + Jack | Essex Yacht Club, Essex, CT

Essex is one of our favorite little towns.  A beautiful, quaint Main Street.  Docks and a landscape dotted with sailboats.  Perfectly New England and so full of summer.  Brooke and Jack's wedding was an extension of this way of life and we were so honored to be a part of it.  From the history of behind Brooke's wedding dress to the trolley that carried us to the club, to the perfect placecards and lobster rolls on the patio, all turned out perfectly thanks in part to a lot of planning on Brooke & Jack's part (and their families!) and a great vendor team.  Oh, and the weather cooperated too :).

Wedding: Leslie + Alex | The Westport Inn, Westport, CT

Tim and I had a great day with Leslie and Alex!  It was considerably warmer than the last time I saw them :), and we did most of the photos on one of my favorite Connecticut beaches.  Spring at the beach is perfect - perfectly empty!  The wedding itself was very quintessential New England (love!), from the navy and cream/pink color scheme to the quaint church and lawn games - we were so happy for these guys to start their life together with such a perfect day.

Sometimes people worry that a first look will take away from the moment when the bride comes down the aisle...I beg to differ :). I love the photos below - that moment is its own moment, nothing can take away from it.
