Today I'm really excited to unveil our year-long project - {sophie365}.

I might have mentioned it a few times during the year casually, but for the last year, we have been taking a photograph of Sophie everyday. I am so proud that it is finished, no days missed, and I'm so, so happy with it. I turned 30 this past year, and had a few goals for the year. Some of them are still in progress, some I never completed, but this one is finished! Yes. I'm really happy that we did this for her and I hope she loves it as she gets bigger - the first year of life was so amazing because she grew from a helpless-needing us every minute little thing to a tall, walking kid(!) right before our eyes and I'm am so happy to have captured it for her.

Here are a few shots of the book itself and if you would like to sit through all 365 photos, I put a slideshow at the bottom (not that I expect most non-related folks to sit through 365 photos of my child!). As you check them out, you'll see that the point of the project was not to have a 'perfect' photo every day - some of them are taken with the camera phone at 11:58pm while she was asleep :). Some days we only have one photo of her and others, it took us hours to decide which one to use. The point was to just have a photo of each day, to see her grow and see what she was up to at any given moment. I took the equipment out of the equation and that really gave me the result that I wanted - real, everyday life. Our life. I love all of them. Thanks for taking a minute to check them out.

  7. OMG, this is SO INCREDIBLE! I honestly have a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. I'm no sure if it's because she's so beautiful or because she's so happy or because she's grown so much or because she's so very loved! You are all so blessed! I'm going to watch this over and over (but it will still be hard to pic a favorite). Thanks for sharing. Sheila
