Engagement: Athina + Rob | Harkness Memorial State Park, Connecticut

I love winter engagement sessions.  I really do.  Its something different, I love the blueish tint to the sky and its fun to have a warm drink after...BUT, this day, it.was.cold.  The wind off the water at Harkness was whipping and it was a little colder than I would have preferred, and probably a little colder than Athina would have preferred, ha!  Athina and Rob were total troopers though and made it happen - and looked gorgeous in the process.  I'm so excited for their wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard this summer!  Hope you all are keeping warm in this never-ending winter!!!

Engagement: Anna + Jimmy | Cove Island Park, Stamford, CT

I've been waiting for the perfect day to post this session and today is it!  A snowy Saturday - we've been in the house all day and I can't think of a better time to look at some of my favorite engagement photos from this year.  I.love.these.  Seriously, Anna, Jimmy and I had a great time walking around (can't wait for their wedding next year!!) and absolutely perfect weather.  Check out the sunset:

Engagement: Laura + Jason | Fairfield University, Connecticut

What a great location for an engagement session!  I met up with Laura and Jason on the campus of Fairfield University - where they first met :).  Now, it is not uncommon that I shoot engagement sessions in spots that are meaningful to people -say, met on the beach, or in the city, or at a coffee shop, etc., but this day, we took it to a whole new level.  Laura had this idea to take a few shots near her old dorm/apartment - cute, right? Well, we got there, started shooting and the girl that lives there now came home and invited us inside!  So, we ended up taking a few photos in the exact  location where Laura and Jason first hung out (nothing like a college dorm!).  So funny!  And pretty awesome too.  Tim and I first met on a college trip to Cape Cod - I think we definitely need our photo taken there :)

Engagement: Danielle + Andrew | Lost Acres Apple Orchard, Granby, CT

Love this engagement session!  Danielle picked an awesome location (apple orchards are always near the top of my list!) and we had great fall weather.  I picked today to post their session because Andrew is still active in the military and I thought Veteran's day would be a nice time to post about these two.  I had a great time photographing them and I am already so excited for their wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard next year!

Engagement: Melissa + Jason | Gouveia Vineyards, Wallingford, CT

I posted a few too many photos here, but I just could not help it.  Melissa and Jay are great, and we had an awesome day (after about 50 reschedules for weather/family/illness/etc., but, it was definitely worth the wait for this perfect day!!!).  The scenery and atmosphere at Gouveia were unbelievable and I can't wait to go back for a glass of wine soon (well, as soon as I'm allowed :).
