So, I'm pretty much in love with Lindsay and Will. Is that wrong :)? They are an awesome, fun, smart pair and I had a blast walking around Central Park with them, even if I did get 1 (ok, almost 2) parking tickets. I even got to photograph them on their adorable and decently-sized outdoor balcony (deck? patio? outdoor space?). So awesome. Who needs an apartment when you have an oversized balcony in NYC? You could easily just grab a sleeping bag and move out there (note to their friends). Anyway, we had a great time and I cannot wait for their big day next year! Hope you love these guys!

Engagement: Emily + Will | Lyman Orchards, Connecticut
So, when Emily said that she had arranged with Lyman Orchards to have us shoot their engagement session in the sunflower maze, and also in the same email, let me know that her uncle would let us use his antique car - how much more did I instantly love her?! Come on, Emily - you killed it. Gorgeous location, and great couple - we had a blast exploring the (entire) orchard from the sunflowers to the highest point, so much fun. The next time I see these guys, it will be winter and I'm hoping for just a (little) snow :). Thanks for a great afternoon guys!

Engagement: Samantha + Mike | Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, New York
After getting plagued by rain and schedules, I was so happy to meet up with Samantha & Mike! Sam had picked Ward Pound Ridge, which was gorgeous, and we had a perfect, sunny summer evening. These guys are fun and easy-going, just my kind of couple :). Their wedding is in just a few weeks and I can't wait to see them all dressed up! Enjoy some of my favorites guys! Thanks for a great time.

Engagement: Lindsey + Mike | Stonington Point, Connecticut
Lindsey and Mike rock. This is an awesome year for them. Graduations, engagements, jobs and moves - all huge things. I think of getting engaged as kind of like creating a permanent team for yourself - no more choosing, or picking sides, it is all set and you always have some back-up. Well, their team is leaving here and moving out west to start their new life together and to me, there could be no better time to photograph them. So much to be happy about and excited for! Lindsey and Mike -- thanks for giving me the opportunity to document your time before the big move! You guys were awesome and I could not be happier for you. Hope you like some of my favorites from the day :).

Engagement: Kate + Erik | Saugerties Lighthouse, Hudson Valley, New York
Do you guys have that list? That list of all the places you mean to go to and check out locally, but instead, on your days off, you either are 1) on vacation, 2) cleaning/shopping/family events, or 3) vegetating - and the cool local stuff gets pushed to the back of the list, right? Maybe its just me, but I've really been trying to explore my local area - the Hudson Valley and CT have TONS of cool spots and we have been making a real effort to vacation locally for a change. Anyway, I have Kate to thank for getting me to the Saugerties Lighthouse, which has been on my list forever! And, it is just as adorable and cool as I thought (except, I also found out that the lighthouse is also a B&B, how neat is that?!). I also got to go back to my roots and trek through the wetland to get to the lighthouse (that would be me that wants to take photos in the golden hour portion of the day, when the tide was a bit higher...); Kate and Erik were great and I cannot wait for their wedding in a few weeks!!
